What does the Karma function mean?

Good morning James,

I was talking about the ability on the forum to click on the karma button next to a persons name. Essentially its a way of either up voting or down voting a persons contribution to this forum. Personally I am not a supporter of it on this forum and will be ignoring it. Like Stavy mentioned earlier if there are any issues on this site with individuals there is a report button which sends a message to the moderators. I am sure though seeing as we are a lovely bunch of people that will be rarely used

I agree - I fear it will be overused by a certain group of people that register, there will always be 'Trolls' where ever you go and people that don't agree with your comments. That button should cease to exist in my opinion.
Let's hope that the powers that be look into this and remove it, as you say... There is always the moderator button.
