I have a wide range of musical tastes from ALL era's (but my favourites were from the 1960's, 70's & 80's) and this is MY VIDEO MUSIC JUKEBOX
My DAD introduced me to 'PICKETTYWITCH' what a name!!! back when I was about 5 or 6 years old but then I forgot about them until my teens when my dad & I visited one of the old record shops to hunt down their singles (we found 2 that day & I still have them)
And this is one of those 7" singles we got that day...GREAT SONG, LOVELY Singer (Polly Browne)
And if you liked this from the 70's you'll probably like this one from them too?
And one more...
And here is a song I sing to myself (quiet often...due to...well you know? & the WORLD in general)
I was not a fan of Cilla's singing but with this one...PERFECT.
And then I found this close by...DELIGHTFUL, poor little 'ALFIE' out of shot just won't let her complete the song will he

You see, HUMANS really can be QUIET DELIGHTFUL at times!
It's a shame NORMAL FOLKS aren't really ruling the WORLD...as I am sure a VERY HIGH percentage of us would probably BAN 'ALL' WEAPONS from the PLANET & try to make this WONDEFUL place a more EQUAL & HONEST place to Live!
Ah well.
And just because I LOVE Polly Browne & Pickettywitch here's another (no video to speak of i'm afraid JUST a WONDERFUL song of NOSTALGIA)
ENJOY.
And the FINAL ONE for TODAY...a simply DELIGHTFUL Duet with Peter Gabriel & one of my ALL-TIME fav's 'KATE BUSH'
Just LISTEN to THOSE Lyrics & the TITLE for me is quiet APT "DON'T GIVE UP" perhaps one day sometime someone will see that these things are correct & true.
A powerful ballad & when the end of the video arrives we final see the ECLIPSE has ended & Gabriel's character (as sung in the song) is SAFE & WELL in the arms of his LOVE THIS! one might even think he was on a cliff considering a drastic action before his WIFE? LOVER? comes to the RESCUE.
AWESOME.

I'm something of a McQueen fan (the actor) & whilst 'The Thomas Crown Affair' is a GOOD film it is NOT up there with his very best but there is SOMETHING, HAUNTIG & Original about the Title Song...Take a listen...
Yup 'The Windmills of My Mind' is like the Art Garfunkel short solo quiet WONDERFULLY chilling, Noel Harrison is the original singer & although it's been said many prefer other versions I think this is SPOT ON, half talky / singing version but it WORKS.
Next up anther more serious type song but again perfectly sung...Take it away Justin...

Ah so much GREAT MUSIC from these era's to choose from but for the next day or two and with APOLOGIES to those that DON'T LOVE 'Beautiful Looking Women', 'GREAT OUTFITS', Wonderful / FUN Musical DANCE Sequences & of course this GREAT MUSIC itself all put together in a delightful 3 minute package here is...
What some people now regard as offensive??? GO FIGURE! Political Correctness GONE BONKERS!
If ANYTHING we need a little bit MORE of this kind of thing thesedays (it's all gone a bit safe & dull now on TV) I think it's innocent enough with just a touch of charm about it? (and if you think these ladies are a little racy then fans of KENNY EVERETT (and i was one as a teenager) will tell you this is NOTHING when compared to the also BRILLIANT 'Hot Gossip' Dance Troop! and which classy lady stated out with them?
YES of course It's LEGS & CO dancing on the (Oh how we miss it) BBC1 music chart rundown show TOP OF THE POPS.
ENJOY...
First up..."It's a LOVE Thing" well more LOVE has to be a GOOD thing right?
Then...Another of my ALL TIME Fav's 'Stevie Wonder' & LATELY...has a touch of relevance here, SEE they have a BIG MOON hanging behind them of course it's not this I was concentrating on those are some BREATHTAKING Costumes.
Next...well I LOVE THIS SONG 'Andy Gibb' one of the BEE GEES Brothers that sadly left us way too early, a handsome fella but with the same GREAT VOICE as his brother BARRY....this is both FUN & ENCHANTING, enjoy.
Time for one more? oh alrighty then, a CLASSIC 'Disco' Hit from the mid 1970's by HEATWAVE called 'BOOGIE NIGHTS'
If you enjoyed them...HEAD BACK for MORE tomorrow

And the ANSWER to that classy lady from HOT GOSSIP ? yup the lovely SARAH BRIGHTMAN.
What irked me somewhat was when another one time Top of the Pops DANCER who later married the singer David Grant & I think might have even been a singing coach on one of the BBC talent programmes COMPARED the wonderful 'Legs & Co' to ? well let's just say the word began with a P & ended with an N...NOT HER FINEST MOMENT (and I rather like her, she seems like a nice lady but the comparison is WAY OFF!)
And with that MORE L&C and slightly more RAUNCY (yet harmless) Sequences...and YES, I am listening to the WONDERFUL MUSIC of the 1970's as much as the gorgeous visuals.
Classic McCartney LOVE song called funnily enough 'SILLY LOVE SONGS'
This next one I think is a GREAT ROUTINE...they are really STRUTING there STUFF, well it is called 'DANCING in the CITY'
And this FINAL Legs & Co ROUTINE is one in which SHOCK, HORROR they're wearing 'NORMAL' clothes...NO!!!! not NORMAL CLOTHES Chris? THAT can't be right? well actually it isn't right because they are in PERIOD CLOTHES & they still look FANTASTIC, in truth it's not one of their best routines & you may say they do very little? but I LOVE THIS ONE, it's HANUNTING & DONE RIGHT (I think) & it is a GREAT THEME!!!
TAKE A LOOK...
MORE TOMORROW on the LM1 CHARTSHOW...Hey, now that's an idea

For TODAY we have taken a trip back to the 1970's
There is a CONNECTION here but I just can't quiet put my finger on it
So in at NUMBER 3 it's BOWIE
Now that was some LOOK and one he would maintain for the most of the 70's
Down from last weeks No1 to NUMBER 2 is....hmmm Mr David Bowie with 'STARMAN'
And a new ENTRY both here & on the MARTIAN PLANET & straight in at Number 1 is
I think the answer to this song may well prove to be a YES, certainly if someone like me can find clear evidence of stuff happening up there one can only wonder what CURIOSITY & the OTHER PROBES have REALLY picked up.
Yup i'm a BOWIE fan.
