Moon Rocks: An Introduction to the Geology of the Moon, by Andrew G. Trindle and Simon P. Kelley at the Open University.

Moon Rocks is the story of the Moon through the eyes of a geologist. This interactive book which can be downloaded for free, includes interactive panoramas, videos, images and quizzes. Also included is the use of the interactive virtual microscope, which allows the reader to study thin sections provided by NASA from the Apollo missions up close.

An excellent introduction explaining how scientists study Moon rocks.

Thanks Abi, that looks interesting. Wonder if my nephew would enjoy it? I'll download it for him and see. (he is a geeky 8 year old)

Thank Stavy, I don't see why an eight year old wouldn't enjoy this book, it proves to be an excellent read. My advice is you should read through it yourself, so when he starts asking questions, you'll have all the answers :)
I thoroughly recommend this free download. There are also other Open University interactive science eBooks in this series.

It is a really good ebook, and free! It has videos of the astronauts on the Moon as well.
