I've decided to ask this question in this forum because I'm not sure if its science (as in rockets and such )
I've heard that the Planet collects a lot of debris over the course of the year from beyond our atmosphere.
Hundreds of tons apparently each day ??
So has anybody attempted to calculate even on very general terms how much each year the Earth collects ?

Whats going through my mind is this, how big was our planet during the age of the dinosaurs and was our planets gravity significantly lower than today ?
Explaining perhaps the large size of the....

No...wait.scratch that question,its silly.

Never be afraid to ask questions arty49 (even if you think they are silly)

I think I know where you were going with this...and I think the answer as you probably figured out yourself is no the size of the planet or it's gravity at that time had no real impact on the size of these creatures as I don't think they were dramatically different to that of today but if anyone knows different? do let us both know.

I drove folks mad when I was younger with my questions and I seem to still have so many even today :-)
