Another GREAT 'Horizon' BBC2 programme...they normally repeat them so if any of you living in the UK missed it i would highly recommend this,
'Life but NOT as we know it Jim'
Those other american scientist's were FUN and those small microbe creatures were truly amazing...found within wet moss & taken back to the lab, withdrawn from damp conditions they husk up and almost look like they'd died until they transformed back to themselves when water was re-introduced...even stranger were those that were many thousands of years older that were kind of hibernating, ALL that time and were brought back, how very strange
Possibly the basis for cryo-tubes on future spacecraft one day?
The Titan methane submarine looks AMAZING...the leader of that team was also FUN...Hope they make this happen.
I think there is every chance we have something living off the Earth yet within our own Solar System...it's just a matter of finding it.
I wonder what the largest creature in our universe might measure? be it intelligent or not (and as seen in the pilot episode of Star Trek TNG it might not even live on a planet) could you imagine an intelligent species that was say the size of King Kong?
How come Humans faces look so very different, in this respect i think we are a unique species on this planet and if you think about it...it's really kinda strange don't you think? how come most if not all other species here pretty much look the same with only minor differences (stripes. patterns on skins, fur etc) why is this? why don't we all LOOK the same? if we did and we had the same coloured skins there would be no racism and yet these differences are so WONDERFUL...we really should CELEBRATE them.
'AlienNation' was an interesting & good film from the 1980's.
As for Dark Energy? is it possible it came from before the Big Bang and got into our mix? then again imaybe it was created along with our stuff?
I shall FOREVER remain CURIOUS...wish i knew the Answers but i can't even get an answer on here, it feels like being on the 'The Truman Show'

"Some part of our being knows this is where we came from. We long to return, and we can, because the cosmos is also within us. We are made of star stuff. We are a way for the cosmos to know itself.”
Dr. Carl Sagan
