Make mine a Double Southern Comfort

Well I've come this far with various postings I may as well bring up this interesting subject too (after you've read this you may very well start to think this guy & his family sure are attracting some strange stuff for some reason?)

Ghosts & Spirits? Do you believe? not sure I do if I am being honest, it sounds highly unlikely to me, however you won't be surprised to hear I have a few tales to tell

Best of these is my father's story...

As a young man in his early 20's (it was the mid 1960's) he explored Europe and one of the places he visted was the South East of France, a place called 'Briacon' at this time it was a far smaller town and he was a railway engineer but he was having a big summer break with his mate called Carl.

They arrived and made they're way up the steep narrow (York like) streets, it was Winter time, it was snowing and so obviously cold (this may have something to do with their experience?) it was late & dark and just ahead of them (some 10 feet or so) a door opened and light flooded the street and out flooded approx 10-12 people in Summer attire, they didn't say anything to my father and Carl and they were all dancing around in these narrow streets and yet my father and carl never remember passing them as such or coming into contact with them which considering the narrow street was near on impossible.
Here comes the strange thing...After passing them they travelled only a few feet or so past the door when everything went quiet, the light flooding the street had gone and with it all the people...it's a good story, both my father and carl looked at each other and said "Did you see that? where did they go?" they figured it strange? ghosts? the cold playing tricks on the mind? who knows?

It didn't end there...
My father who is as honest and a decent guy as you could find...a few minutes later heard the clock in the town strike 1am and they realised they had nowhere to stay and so figured they'd work they're way back down town to an open sleeper train (somewhere to sleep) this they did later on but as the clock struck 1am and in the town square a hurst drove across the street from them and they witnessed a very tall man take out what appeared to be an empty coffin by himself? really dad? and only a few minutes later a small thaldimide (sorry I know I've spelt that wrong) came man came running down the same street with his hands twitching, shouting something they could not understand.

Geezzz Dad this sounds like a Horror Film...all this happening around them at 1am in the morning!!! which i'm sure you would agree seems strange?
I have no reason to disbelieve what my dad has said here, it's been said the cold can have an effect on the brain so I think it might have been this? but he swears he saw all this for real and has told the story since I was a young boy in the mid 70's.

If ever your in Briacon see what you can find & discover...I've always wanted to vist myself but so far I've been unable to do so.

Story 2...
Is one i thankfully witnessed & remember well....
On a holiday in Cornwall around 2001 we were in the car (3 of us...sister was asleep so she missed it) and having come around one of the tight roads down there the road opened up a little in front of us with fields to the left and right of us...and up ahead as clear as day was a (and I swear to god i'm not making this up) GHANDALF like figure!!! probably an actor or performer or something right? that's what we thought...however...

He crossed the road in front of us (probably some 100 meters) dressed in a white cloak, with a staff and you could tell he was old by the way he walked and his white beard (either that or he was still in character) and we could see he had gone into the fields on our left hand side....we both shouted LOOK at THAT, it was an unusual sight, we could see he had made it into this field but as a bend approached in the road we lost sight of him for a few seconds, we kept our eyes open for him, and when the road again straightened there was no hiding place and no sign of him, he had vanished...TRUE STORY...no idea what it is was we had just witnessed, how does a guy like that just disappear? a GHOST? A SPIRIT? a TIME LAPSE? a pleasure to witness but so damned strange.

When I was a child my grandmother died and I remember being in my bedroom and having a compulsion to look out of the window for some reason, I looked down and saw our old Datsun car and reflected in the window appeared to be my grandmothers face, it shook me so I turned back to face my room...when I looked back she'd gone.
As with my father and the cold I think the fact that she'd only recently died might have played a trick on the mind so i'm still on the fence with regards to ghosts or spirts showing up, the Ghandalf figure in CORNWALL for me was the curious one I cannot explain...so strange!

My mother was ill for years and I asked her if she could make it back somehow to do so when she departed, she never has

I am open to all possibilities...
I am sure there's something to the UFO sightings i'm sure of it (just too many now including myself) and however much I LOVE NASA they have made in my opinion a number of very silly statements in the recent past...God Bless Edgar Mitchell for breaking the silence but the ice crystals line is becoming tiresome and just downright silly now...if it's ever proven (and I think it will be sooner or later) they're gonna look pretty silly putting out these obviously (for the most part) false statements...especially when you see the size of some of these objects, the fact they are spinning and appear to have some form of propulsion and appear to alter course (good luck to any ice crystals and debris doing that!!!)
There's one snippet of NASA footage available to see to everyone, which was being broadcast on their NASA live TV Feed and it was clear the female NASA commentator was lost for words on some of the strange objects being witnessed.
From the year dot man has seen strange craft in the sky...and painted them on cave walls and the like and it continues to this day, I can even understand the hushed up tones of the governments of the world...PANIC!!! at least that what might have happened way back when, maybe it still would but we're getting closer to disclosure....yup always seem to come back to the UFO thing don't I


Actually there is another kinda famous one...might just be a story but has been said to be real...

A couple in Europe were lost and saw a manor/castle like building in the distance with the lights on & they decided to ask if they're were any hotels somewhere close by...the inhabitants allowed them to stay there for the night, it had been modernised but once the couple reached the top landing and they walked a little down the hallway to their bedroom whereupon a strange wave of energy engulfed them and it changed their whole viewpoint to one of olden times...when the manor/castle had older paintings and the like and in the distance a woman holding a candlelight.

If true? a very strange occurrence indeed and one you could only describe as a kind of 'Time Slip' and something not unlike the current interesting BBC1 Tv Series "The Living and the Dead"


Anyone else have any strange real ghost experiences? nah didn't think so, just me then

I am normally well up to date with news and current events but and i must have been one of the last to discover the sad news about 'Nice' in France

No newspapers, no Tv and i didn't see it on the internet at the time of posting, when i did so to discover the shocking footage and desperately sad news of yet more violence to our fellow man and woman one could only feel sadness for these people and families

Apologizes to anyone that knew or knows of anyone that was caught up in this terrible ordeal...i came to the story very late and would NOT have posted such a subject had i known (i'm not an instagrammer or twitter etc so had no idea) and clearly the subject on this day of all days is clearly not right (before anyone picks me up on...i'd like to think by now you know i'm a good guy)

Wish i'd have waited to post but i just did not know, still trying to take this in at myself and at what this guy has done...is there no end to it?

I LOVE THIS PLANET...but i sometimes feel there are many PEOPLE not worthy of having stepped foot upon it...isn't that a SAD thing to say
