I am posting a link to this guy's (Copernicus) understanding of the movie / film "ARRIVAL" that I have just read.

This guy is clearly intelligent and his thoughts on this film and the communication aspect of we to aliens was carefully considered, he wrote a similar good one for "Interstellar" although I didn't always agree with all his statements about that one.

It's a film I have not yet seen but is one I shall buy upon the first day of release on Blu-Ray as I am sure it's my kind of film...I image it to be a little similar to the Jodie Foster science fiction film "CONTACT" which was overseen by Carl Sagan and is an often forgotten little SF gem of a film.

Anyway, take a look, it's a good read and should not spoil the film for you if you have not seen it...although I would not read the feedbacks at the end just in case! I didn't.

You'll notice the radio transmission code from 1974 sent by the Arecibo telescope which he asks you to figure out.
I've known about this for years and can figure out mostly everything from midway...the Blue wavey line and central line which I thnk? refers to our dna helix? the rest below this is fairly easy to understand and figure out as he states but what about above this? in green, purple and white at the top of the screen? It's just not coming to me & don't want to cheat...will try again later, should get! but if not will have to go online and search out the answer.

This is GOOD but it just can't beat my transmission code received by my camera (Digital Nikon) when that UFO passed over the train as we were taking the shot...later, upon 2nd viewing it turned to this...

Now try explaining THIS to me? especially when a year later I discovered that a NASA photo on CERES looked somewhat like this with a shadowy figure showing one arm and one leg clearly along with the Rover type object above the helmeted antenna to the left, here indicated as an 'R'?
You couldn't write it & if a coincidence then it's one hell of one...couldn't have been a signal for me to search for various stuff? this photograph sure seemed to be the trigger!

Anyhoo, enjoy the Arrival write up (below), can't wait to see the film for myself next year...probably around Easter time.
