Paul Conway created the topic: WHAT! Germans Going to the MOON? & VISTING Where?
This was news to me.
A Private German Space Mission (I am kinda LOVIN these private missions! I remember watching the movie "EXPLORERS" as a teenager and thinking that would be cool! Go on KIds try and build your very own SPACESHIP (but perhaps get ya Grandad to make the Anti-Grav Engine, especially if he once worked for a certain branch of NASA  he'll probably use two large circular magnets revolving in different directions? ) called 'PT Scientists' would like to send 2 Rovers up to the Moon.

I like the idea of two rovers, perhaps in case one breaks down or simply does not work once up there or if both work they can explore more areas but what areas do they want to explore? well get this...

They want to vist the 'Apollo 17' landing site and check out the buggy left there in 1972.

Now I find this very interesting, might be nothing in it! but WHY? Apollo 17's landing site & Rover? and might they re-trace that missions tracks?
Of all the missions to vist!!! you might have thought Apollo 11 would have been favourite? being such an historic site but nope it's Apollo 17 for these folks :) I LOVE IT!
Please let us know if there is any evidence of tracks, landing marks or SHOCK HORROR any kind of pyramid structure there? you can't deny that one tantalizing shot shown at the end of those 5 wasted? photo's of the rover seat was tantalizing...the shot showing what appears to feature a large triangular or pyramid shape...CRAZY though that may sound!

But hey if even NASA don't know what this is! WHAT? and question it with a QUESTION MARK on their Apollo 17 mission site (GO LOOK you'll see it) then that to me is very strange indeed! they don't know if it's the seat or part of the seat on their own rover? hmmm, this shot looks to be over-exposed but it does look like you can make out the rovers pole featured on other shots of this rovers trip (on the left hand side) which is nowhere near the rovers seats...So...

YEAH Great idea scientists...Go re-step that missions rover trips (I think it was site 2 where this occurred?)

And Again, even if there's nothing in it, well other photo's for sure showed some strange craft observing them at that time so maybe the same may happen with two new rovers up there?

I'm still hopeful if we manage to get the funds for LM1  that we might also put a HD rover up there too or even better I really like the idea of a Drone somehow controlled? or on put on an automatic flight plan to explore close to our landing site and take HD photographs & possibly video.

Anyway, it's another mission, it's private (so perhaps more open? if they do discover something?) and it's two rovers! and on the MOON :woohoo:

GOOD NEWS huh?
