I have thought about this many times & that guys thoughts on one of my favourite films 2001 got me thinking (again) so is it just for SURVIVAL ?

If so that's a little SAD.

So WHAT might motivate an Alien Race ?

I guess it would be dependant on...

WHERE it came from? it's environment ? & HOW such a race evolved? & to WHAT POINT it had currently evolved to?

Evidently if they are a SPACE FARING race then they have clearly achieved a decent level of INTELLIGENCE to do so.

BUT WHAT MOTIVATES THEM NOW ?

I am very sure (I know how can I be? take it from me I am OK fairly sure ) that there are a large number of different INTELLIGENT Species out there (and I am not forgetting those who are perhaps not quiet so at this moment in time but will one day be so...in fact as in those old STAR TREK Tv episode's these civilizations might be the MOST INTERESTING to MONITOR of all)

So DO they wish to HELP other civilizations ? and if so WHY ?

If they know of such species as OURSELVES ( and they almost certainly DO) then do they give us & our likes a wide berth? or do they keep a WATCHFUL eye on us?
Is there a point to be reached by which time they INTRODUCE themselves to us? and at this point do they EXPECT anything from us? & might they be willing to HELP US? it's been said that much of our technology now has come from such an encounter?

Might there be an AGGRESSIVE yet intelligent species out there (simply due to the way it evolved?, similar let us say to the violent & aggressive KLINGON race?) and if so might they want a PLANET's RESOURCES such as Water, FOOD? might they see us as FOOD? well, look at what we eat here on Earth (even I...I am not happy about it & have reduced such things but still we do because of requirments)
So I would NEVER rule out such a SPECIES but I would find them a little SAD to advanced to such a level & still not have the intellect to manufacture such foods or energy or water etc they needed.

DO THEY HAVE CULTURE ? this is a NICE one to ponder.
Some of you may know of my LOVE for that newer TWILIGHT ZONE short story "THE STAR" which I show to my family EVERY CHRISTMAS as it deals with the CHRISTMAS STAR of BETHLEHEM...it's a rather moving, touching story I must say, a mission from EARTH receives a DISTRESS CALL & they investigate only to find their STAR had gone NOVA and destroyed their PLANET I guess they were not quiet advanced enough to venture further out to the stars & SAVE THEMSELVES but they did find a close by MOON (a bit like OURS) and placed EVERYTHING they could of their culture upon it & this is what this team FINDS...music, art, scriptures....CAN YOU IMAGINE SUCH A FIND but filled with SADNESS at their passing
I have to tell you it gets me EVERYTIME (probably because it's around Christmas Time too)

So yeah, BACK to DO THEY HAVE CULTURE ?
ART? what would ALIEN art even LOOK LIKE? I have no idea but wouldn't you LOVE to find out?
MUSIC? Have they even considered such a thing? and if so WHAT might it sound like?
UPON THEIR DISCOVERIES...DO THEY...somehow RECORD it on devices? perhaps they do the Guardians of the Galaxy thing (remember that fun opening sequence from the 1st film in which STARLORD pulls out his device and it proceeds to show somehow a LIVING PAST HISTORY from ALL AROUND HIM...cool but theirs might even be better?
It's been said that one of the species out there DO NOT EVEN NEED such devices BECAUSE what one of them sees & knows THEY ALL see & know, that's a WOW! but also has a whiff of a 'HIVE MIND' to it somewhat wouldn't you say? like ANTS or BEES etc...NOT SURE I like the IDEA myself (NO PRIVACY)

Do these ALIEN RACES out there have...

FUN
SYMPATHY
SADNESS
JOY
ANGER
PAIN

Do they have FAMILIES ? or are many of them created similar to CLONES? as it's been said is the case with GREY's.

Do they act as a COLLECTIVE...eg: BORG if so then probably no family? no friends? and NO INDIVIDUALITY? and although they might perhaps NOT be BAD such a species might need to be watched more closely perhaps?

HAVE THEY MASTERED 'Time' ?
And if so CAN THEY or HAVE THEY changed things? and WHY?

Do they have a RELIGIOUS or SPIRTUAL BELIEF...for we got here somehow? even if it was simply through evolution & OUR BANG BANG but who? or what? created it? & DO THEY KNOW?

SO MANY QUESTIONS to ASK THEM have I (YODA SPEAK) perhaps we will NOT have to WAIT too LONG NOW to do so?

I think it won't be the INVASION / WAR LIKE Scenario we often see (which is FUN & ENTERTAINING but that's HUMANS for ya! we're probably the KLINGONS of this GALAXY & we need to temper this!)

BUT as for just living to SURVIVE...well there is SOME TRUTH to THAT clearly but if THAT's ALL then it is a little rather SAD (goes up to the row of emoji's to grab one)

I think WHAT THIS SHOWS is that WE (HUMANS) are really quiet a REMARKABLE SPECIES.

And here speaks someone who TUTS & SHAKES his head on a DAILY BASIS on what we are doing as a RACE.

But yet I can see us (HOPEFULLY) getting past this.

It really is CRAZY that still to this day (and yes I have said this before) that parts of OUR WORLD are starving & dying through lack of FOOD & WATER & yet in other parts there is an abundance of it (too much really) & yet somehow it can't be evened out around the world, MADNESS.

And I will always bring up the WARS & such likes which is mainly to do with religion or just certain leaders just wishing to have MORE land?

SAD aren't they...MOST of us know it, can't do anything about it.

It will PASS one day I hope....I DO LIKE THE INDIVIDUALITY of OUR PEOPLE but it would seem some don't.

We WILL change as a race / species but WHAT WILL WE BECOME...well maybe we'll be given that trigger to see sense? would HELP huh?

You know I am NOT a fan of Jeremy Corbyn (UK LABOUR LEADER) but I know he's a GOOD GUY, I even LOVED the fact that PRIME MINISTER MAY & he got on a little at that QUEENS SPEECH...wasn't that NICE to see & it seemed genuine.
I don't hate the guy, I just didn't think he was right for the country but I think MOST PEOPLE can get on with EACH OTHER given the chance.
