So many of you folks in Britain will have heard or read the news about the latest Car Policy.

My father told me about it earlier in the morning but got it wrong, so I thought it was 2024!!! he had heard the 20 and mixed up the four so LATER when I watched the news instead of being EXCITED I was a little LET DOWN.

Of course what the British Government is doing (to their CREDIT) is SETTING a YEAR beyond which there should be NO PETROL or DIESEL CARS in BRITAIN.

I think this HAS to be APPLAUDED...and about TIME too & let's be HONEST the way the CAR INDUSTRY is HEADING this date of 2040 is NUTS!

I know this is what the LAW will be so NO FOSSIL FUEL CARS after this YEAR of 2040....FANTASTIC!

Cars will be run on ELECTRIC Battery or perhaps by this time we shall finally have that ZPE ? (Zero Point Energy) but if not by this time the BATTERIES should be AMAZING!!!

Let's be honest this TIME SCALE is way off....THEY ARE (or at least I hope they are) PLAYING SAFE with this YEAR of CUT OFF.

We already have ELECTRIC CARS now, they are by many accounts SAFER, CLEANER & MUCH BETTER to the ENVIORMENT, oh & here's the BAD news for the PETROL companies...IT's FAR FAR CHEAPER, petrol costs from say LONDON to say EDINGBURG & then Back again would be perhaps around the £80 to £100? mark BUT with electric it might only cost you by that time a few pounds? if ZPE then NOTHING but at the most what? £10 or £20 a massive saving!

This cut off date I am sure will be brought forward as more and more cars are made electric...it's as the news said the INFRUSTRUCTURE that will TAKE THE TIME...and no one could see this COMING??? gezzz
That will take time & new houses in the next few years will probably have the PARKING SPACE as a charger for the CAR.

I can see MOST if NOT ALL Cars being ELECTRIC within the next 13 years so by 2030 & with that probably fully automated too, safer & will give us all time to do other things...although I am sure the JOY of DRIVING manually will still be available in certain AREAS.

GOOD NEWS this...I JUST WISH they would be MORE GET GO with the DATES.
