Hi Paul. Thank you for releasing these photos. They are amazing!.
I am quite excited about them and cannot explain them - which makes it exciting! I will study them further as I am fascinated. Immediate thought is - we are not alone!!!

Cheers David...Amazing? not sure about that, maybe had they had been closer to the camera but they are interesting (after uploading them I was a tad disappointed as they'd lost a little of their clarity, they look more pixelated than in the originals for some reason)

'We are not alone' personally I think this is a given (and it may well be that most of the goverments of the world have known this for awhile?)
I would find it far more interesting if we were the only (reasonably) intelligent creatures (currently) in the Universe, could you imagine that!!!
The Universe would technically be all ours...No future Star Wars with an alien race to worry about but then also sadly no great discoveries of alien races and the knowledge they might bring :-(

The pictures are interesting in that we did not notice any hand gliders or kites or anything like this upon our arrival and at the time the photo's were being taken...had we noticed such things then we would have seen them hanging around and they just weren't (although that second photo with the smaller photo was obviously further back and could have disappeared behind the hills)

It's curious that it was in a similar area to this one (I linked to) a similar looking craft was seen (your classic X-Files 'I Want to Believe' UFO type, albeit smaller of course)

One way or another I would love for someone to clear it up...if it's hand gliders no worries (I've always preferred the truth) but they'd have had to have been quick :-)

They simply remain to us a curious and yes somewhat exciting mystery

6 years ago, on October 3, 2009, I was shooting photos of the night sky (of the orion nebula, to be exactly). I didn't looked all the time to the sky, because the cameras where shooting with an automatic remote trigger but the next morning I noticed a small, very slow moving object on the frames of one of my 2 cameras while comparing the frames. It was very faint and I almost didn't notice it. Each frame has been captured for 4 seconds and a 4 second delay for the processing afterwards. On the frames it seems to be smudged a little bit and at first I thought it was because of the 4 second exposure. But then I looked on the timeframe and realized that the object moved so slowly in space, that it could not have been smudged. It seems that it was it's actual shape. Also, on the frames it seemed to be rotating slowly. The object entered the field of view of the camera at 03:33:04 CET, at the coordinates RA: 05h 27m 45s, DEC: -04° 23' 05", it crossed NGC 1981 and leaved the VOF at 03:48:36 CET at RA: 05h 43m 23s, DEC: -04° 27' 49". So the object flew a straight path for more than 15 minutes over such a "short" distance. I didn't saw it with my eyes, otherwise I would have tracked it longer.

Unfortunately, I can't find the original frames anymore. I had a system crash at that time and I think the frames got lost. But I had created two GIFs out of those frames previously and I still have them. One is a narrow, vertical cut-out off the frames of the full size which shows the entire flight path (with the stars in the background) through the frames and the other is a smaller cut-out which tracks the object directly. Each GIF is made out of 128 frames and the animation is 148 times faster than the original speed. I packed everything into a ZIP file. Additionally, I created a small simulation which shows the flight path and speed of the object in real time (open index.htm and click on the link "Simulation of original speed" in top, left corner, then on the "Start" button).

I don't know what it was and nobody else too. Due to it's slow speed and straight flight path, I think it was definitely something in space. I think it could have been space junk or a small to medium sized rock in space.

Those Gifs are really COOL Stan.
A fantastic capture of what look like near earth material, possibly small asteroid which as you say looks to be spinning...WONDERFUL, Thanks for sharing.
