I will say I LOVE, TRULY Love a good many of James Cameron's directed pictures (Aliens, The Abyss, Terminator, T2, True Lies, Titanic & Avatar in that order, Avatar is an enjoyable film but after a number of viewings it loses something for me) but this is NUTS & just ever so slightly SAD.

He has criticised the Super Hero film starring Gal Gadot as "WONDER WOMAN" saying it is NOT BREAKING NEW GROUND for Women!

I have not seen the movie yet but have heard ONLY good things about it & I plan on buying it in a few weeks time on it's release on BLU RAY, I think it was made just to have FUN!

It would seem Mr Cameron thinks this is like going back 50 years to a time when the BEAUTIFUL Raquel Welch wore the fur skin bikini.
The thing is that WONDER WOMAN in the comics (and correct me if I am wrong?) actually wore such OUTFITS, busty costumes (some will say this is pandering to MEN) I will just say LOOKING BEAUTIFUL & SEXY what's wrong with that? and this is how she dressed in the comics!

So what he seems to be saying is a GOOD LOOKING WOMAN wearing SEXY OUTFITS & being a HERO in this day & age is a NO, NO Crikey!

I guess in Mr Cameron's next instalment of "AVATAR" (when it/they finally show up) we shall be seeing a female lead role AGED 70 years OLD who will be (shall we say) OVERWEIGHT & wearing GRANDMA like CLOTHES (ok your laying it on a bit here CHRIS ) well it will at least it will be different if he does perhaps he can bring my teenage crush Michelle Pfeiffer into the fold, she's back on screen with "MOTHER" and still looks GREAT aged almost 60!!!

If anything MANY of the SUPERHERO Films (Sadly) have TONED down some of these uniforms from the comics they were based on (which were a good deal more revealing) perhaps RYAN REYNOLDS & his FUN OTT DAREDEVIL might bring them back on screen?

So according to Mr James Cameron we can NO LONGER have SEXY LOOKING, DARING COSTUMED FEMALE HEROES Awww Man, what a KILLJOY.
And I was so hoping for a new OTT "Barbarella"

Many guys of my age will remember PLAYBOY, there was NOTHING wrong with that publication WHATSOEVER, it was of a time & a place & featured some wonderful looking ladies, OH & some GREAT ARTICLES WHAT? it's the OLD JOKE! I liked the WOMEN myself
He LOVED Women, his life was clearly EXTREMELY HEDONISTIC but hey if he hurt no one (and it seems many have nothing but good words for him) then really? what was the harm?

Well, I like BEAUTY & i like Raquel Welch (she appeared in one of my favourite science fiction films "FANTASTIC VOYAGE" now try projecting that film on a large screen IT's AMAZING even now! and she wears a skin tight white suit for it too which she had to have a body cast done)
There would be uproar thesedays right? well NO actually because Jennifer Lawerence did the same thing for her BLUE ROLE in the recent X MEN FILMS, she looked great but I wonder if Cameron would agree?
BLIMEY if he doesn't like the idea of WONDER WOMAN dressing like WONDER WOMAN (as seen in the comics) who knows what he made of MYSTIC?(her X MEN character) who was pretty much wearing next to nothing.

THE WORLD REALLY has gone CRAZY in all FORMS.

Guys like my DAD just shake their heads thesedays.
