I recently heard that most of these (mainly unelected) HOUSE OF LORDS folks (approx. 800 of them) never showed up for debates or even votes.
And then i heard this...
They can EACH claim up to £20,000 per YEAR in EXPENSES!!!! Yeah expenses! THAT is ON TOP of the AMOUNT they are PAID.

Which as you can see is ANOTHER £30,000 TAX FREE
But some are claiming (as one might suspect) for CRAZY THINGS!

YUP, £300 a DAY!!!! a day! for walking there! might be a little more to it, you know these headlines BUT YOU GET THE POINT.
My sister (works hard with children) & i think gets far less than just the EXPENSES amount (especially once her TAX is taken off)
And yet MANY of these unelected & priviledged folks DON'T EVEN SHOW UP or NEED to SHOW up to get most of these EXPENSES.
She works damned hard & yet here are they doing fine thank you very much just because of who they are connected too?
NONESENSE utter NONSENSE.
So YOU are paying from your TAXES & EARNINGS for these FOLKS to do very little (fair do's some A MINORITY do good work) but let's be HONEST HERE they collect their money & are then OFF to the SHOPS, RESTURANTS or off to the GOLF COURSE!
800 peers x £50,000 EACH = THAT's 40 MILLION POUNDS per YEAR just for them to show up for a set amount of time (clocking in) & to get their EXPENSES.
Yup 40 MILLION pounds per year WELL SPENT huh?
or 10 years = 400 MILLION POUNDS to keep these folks in CAVIAR & CHAMPAGNE...nice!
REASON there is NEVER a VOTE for the PEOPLE on such THINGS...they'd have them OUT IN A SECOND!

1 BILLION Pounds over 25 years! that's ONE BILLION POUNDS!!! Worth it? nah! i don't think so either! i'm sure some things have been done in the past that were WORTHY but seriously...they are NOT EVEN ELECTED.
A case of the POWERFUL & RICH even in older age keeping POWER & BENEFITING from US.
NOT a FAIR WORLD is IT? but surely THEIR TIME HAS COME to be ABOLISHED?
Don't forget that 1 BILLION over 25 years is JUST TO PAY FOR THEM (to do very little) & their EXPENSES.
It will COST even more than this due to keeping the LORDS updated & in good order, stationary & the like? i bet that is provided & not within the realms of EXPENSES.
