BIG MOVIE Fan.
I didn't get to see as many as I would have liked in 2017 so hopefully I may see more this year either at the CINEMA or BLU RAY.

So here's the one's I am looking forward to the most in 2018 (in order of release)

COCO is the new PIXAR film (LOVE Pixar & most animated movies, it must have been my childhood upbringing in the 1970's & 80's as we had GREAT Cartoons & animations back then such as 'Scooby Doo', 'Hong Kong Phooey', 'Paddington', 'Danger Mouse', 'Dungeons & Dragons', 'He-Man & the Masters of the Universe' to name but just a few YUP we were blessed back then!
JAN 19 in the UK

WINCHESTER Feb 2 (all dates are for UK release but clearly some of the later one's may change)
Why they release away from the HALLOWEEN Season or CHRISTMAS season is beyond me but hey that's what the powers that be have decided so a February release It is.
It LOOKS Great & if all those things show up in this film it could be like a new (but old fashioned) POLTERGEIST, stick with the terrific 1982 version although to be fair the remake was not as bad as some...STAY AWAY from 'THE FOG' remake!

CLOVERFIELD 3 (GOD PARTICLE) Feb 9
No TRAILER but is sounds awesome!!! LOVED the original CLOVERFIELD by JJ ABRAMS, enjoyed '10 CLOVERFIELD LANE' but not as much as some but THIS...THIS sounds like it could have some OUT THERE IDEAS (just like me) I LOVE THAT.
Take a look at this...

BLACK PANTHER
Back into the MARVEL WORLD (my favourite as a kid & the films we are seeing thesedays are AWESOME!)
This looks terrific (as they all do) but we have a different character (seen in the Avengers or was it Captain America movie?)
VERY EXCITED by this one...just take a LOOK at HOW THIS ONE LOOKS!!! if nothing else it looks BEAUTIFUL, look at the designs.
MARVEL thankfully seems to EVOLVE & change.

PART 2 coming right up...

PART 2 (only because it would take longer to add the trailer links)

Next up...

What some folks are calling a possible prequel to the awesome HELLBOY movies? and ABE SAPIEN perhaps?
"The Shape of Water" Feb 14
My guess is even though it is directed, produced & written by Guillermo Del Toro (same as HELLBOY) that this is NOT Abe? but it could be a different take on the CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON ?
Already showed you the early trailer for this, so here is the FINAL ONE...

"ANNIHILATION" Feb 23
I loved Alex Garland's EX-MACHINA so I am hoping he will follow that up with something rather extraordinary too.
Trailer here looks promising...

"TOMB RAIDER" March 16
The Rebooted Film following the rebooted game from a few years ago.
Don't know about you folks? but I rather enjoyed the Angelina Jolie one's & it's funny how they keep getting non British ladies to play the lead role of LARA (not that it matters Jolie was FUN & Alicia Vikander is almost British having spent so long in this country, she's also very beautiful & talented actress)

"A Wrinkle in Time" March 23
Do you get the feeling we are beginning to understand what lies in wait out there for us?
Perhaps more a kids film but WHAT's WRONG WITH THAT? it looks to have ideas many mainstream movies can only dream of.

"READY PLAYER ONE" March 30
This could be STEVEN SPIELBERG's big return?
I expect this to be HUGE, I have LOVED Mr Spielberg's films from a young age (even back to seeing to seeing the TV MOVIE "Duel" as a young kid) but some of his films ARE masterpieces & are some of my favourite films of ALL-TIME...
'Jaws', '1941' (cruely under appreciated), 'Close Encounters', 'Raiders of the Lost Ark', "E.T.", "Indy & the Last Crusade" (Love Temple of Doom & Crystal Skull too), "Jurassic Park", "A.I." (didn't like that one to begin with but it gets better the more you see it), "Minority Report" (is another that seems to get better the more you see it), "Saving Private Ryan" even rumours he directed the brilliant 'POLTERGEIST' rather than Tobe Hooper & he also made one of the most ROMANTIC 'Fantasy' LOVE STORIES of ALL-TIME that is also under appreciated which is "ALWAYS" check it out you will not be disappointed and so I hope this will be added to this highly impressive list of work.

Part 3 coming soon ;)

Hi Folks...READY FOR PART 3?
But before we do did any of you spot THE IRON GIANT at the end of Spielberg's trailer for 'READY PLAYER ONE'?
Don't that LOOK COOL?

"RAMPAGE" April 20
So cheesy but I have to say it looks like a whole lotta FUN.
Who doesn't like GIANT ANIMALS right?

"Avengers : INFINITY WAR" April 27
I'm thinking I will like ALL of these movies but to this point this is the one that might rival 'READY PLAYER ONE' for the one I am looking forward to the most.

"SOLO : A Star Wars Story"
Not sure about this one, I shall ALWAYS associate Han Solo with Harrison Ford & it's another prequel which for the most part I don't care for much (there are exceptions of course)
Never seen a BAD star wars film yet & I don't expect this to be so either...just not show HOW EXCITED I am about it with someone else in the role that being said the lovely Emilia Clarke shall also be appearing & I suppose once I see the trailer (SORRY NO TRAILER YET) then I will more than likely get more enthused over it...just need to see the FALCON in SPACE & that'll do it I think :)

"DEADPOOL 2" June 1
The first one was a breath of fresh air for these COMICBOOK films.
I've seen & read all types, I understand why they change some of the costumes (some are a bit risqué in the comics themselves but it would be FUN to see them in such a film!) but also the language can be shall we say a little salty in some WELL hello DEADPOOL, a role Reynolds I think was born to play...the early trailers for the first film came out of left field (NO ONE was expecting anything like that) AMAZINGLY people went for it an R-RATED fully adult comicbook FILM which didn't take itself too seriously & it made TONS.
Now can the Sequel match up to it & take it to another LEVEL? they should certainly have a much bigger budget in this one (a joke Reynolds made during the filming of that RISKY first film) take a look...
NOW bear in mind this is an ADULT TRAILER with some salty language & innuendo (ah the CARRY ON FILM Spirit alive & well ;) ) it's more a FUN TEASER trailer really but I like where the painting heads, also there is a splash  of actual DEADPOOL 2 footage here...

"Jurassic World : Fallen Kingdom" June 8
I told my sister to watch 'Jurassic World' on ITV this Christmas but she was having none of it...same old thing she said, dinosaurs going on the rampage...she's NOT wrong but I liked Chris Pratt & Bryce Dallas Howard who is absolutely gorgeous (she's Ron Howard's daughter) she also starred in the heart warming remake? well re-imagining really "Pete's Dragon" which is far superior to that musical version.
Well I LOVE dinosaurs but I LOVE many things :)
Sequel looks like FUN...

PART 4 of your SPECIAL Lunar Mission One MOVIES to see of 2018 ;)

"THE INCREDIBLES 2" July 13
Sometimes I think there are too many sequels & not enough original movies (and PIXAR seem to be heading down the route of them too, I mean 'CARS' was brilliant! but did we really need CARS 2 & 3?) however that being said THIS is one I long to see, the first was EPIC.
Only a TEASER here & those that have seen the short films they'll know of BABY's special powers already but it's rather cute & funny.

"MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 6"
No trailers yet (sorry) BIG fan of these...super stuff, fun stunts & twists, LOVED 'Rogue Nation' & say what you like about Tom Cruise (yeah that scientology thing is WEIRD...especially their LEADER, if he has done a half of the things rumoured then seeing as we would like to think Tom Cruise was a reasonably good fellow...how could he still be in such a strange organization that treats people that way? hey not against them & if they don't harm people? but that's the problem right there...it would seem they are MONEY & POWER motivated & those conferences they have are frankly over the top & rather strange, hey i have some strange opinions to many but these guys are just OUT OF THIS WORLD ;)
Still, Cruise (for the most part) makes exciting, interesting & entertaining films so I look forward to MI6.

"ANT Man & The WASP" Aug 3
This was another off beat MARVEL picture I liked (ANT MAN) so hoping the sequel might be even more so?
Again no trailer but this is a fun TV AD...

OTHERS that have no trailers yet...

THE MEG
VENOM (Tom HArdy)
Fantastic Beasts : The Crimes of Gindwald
Wreck it Ralph 2 (what was I saying about sequels? LOVED ralph though)

AND

MARY POPPINS with the delightful Emily Blunt in the role...JUST IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS 2018 :)

Of course many of these if not most of them are popular BIG BUDGETED (special effect) BLOCKBUSTER Entertainment types but these are not the only types that interest...no doubt there will be some surprises too that are not like this but we RARELY get quality films of the types seen in the 1970's & 80's...Three Days of The Condor, The Sting, All the President's Men, Capricorn One to but a miniscule few for ya, yeah big fan of REDFORD.

I feel like the Barry Norman of LM1 :) the Brits will get that!
