Did not expect to be posting back here so soon after my New Years Resolution (less postings here) but this was too good not to & some may have missed it that would find it cool!
so the OSIRIS REX mission is heading out to Bennu (a near earth asteroid) and some 3 million miles out they turned the camera back towards EARTH & our MOON and captured this wonderful photograph.

When you see a photograph like this you perhaps realise how brave the APOLLO Moon Landing Missions were (when considering the spacecraft they used at the time & especially the landers!)
What will they find on BENUA in 2019? & will they show & tell all?
When you see this amazing photograph you have to wonder about that report that ELON MUSK (who hats off to him seems to have captured the imagination of many with his private
space enterprise) will send 2 paying passengers on a trip around our moon.

We were always going to head back to the MOON (even those up there knew this
) but will it be later this year?
Hope so.
The Question is? WHO are these two people? (it's been said they are friends who are clearly mega rich)
But i would be truly AMAZED if such a mission (after OVER 40 years!) one that takes humans back to within touching distance of OUR MOON is done with TRUE, paying civilians.
This will surely be a COVERT (Re-Con) MISSION again? NASA have influence over SPACEX (it is not yet fully a PRIVATE Space Company) but i for one would be very surprised if we ever found out WHO these 2 folks are? heading up there but hey let's HOPE I am wrong & we do find that they are truly honest paying (albeit rich) civilians...bringing PRIVATE SPACE TRAVEL into the 21st Century.
For these two folks will surely be checked out by media & news outlets? although these days you do wonder!!! especially for such an IMPORTANT Trip & if they found out they had a background concerning the MILITARY, SECURITY SERVICES or NASA themselves? then there would be rumours as one might expect.
As for Bennu? well we shall see but this a delightful photograph isn't it?
