Yes indeed Fozia and I LOVE Magic.
I'm an optimist (and hope I always will be) and it would be interesting to see how we develop and where we go in the future.
If like Rod Taylor I had a Time Machine and could venture forward it would be interesting to see the near future say 2024 perhaps, as I
understand there's a nice little mission hopefully about to land soon :-) then onto 2050 maybe, 2100, 2200 and then maybe a couple
of huge jumps say 3000 and 30,000 what would we find?

Those images of Pluto and Charon get me excited about what else is out there...the Kuiper Belt they say may have wonderful hidden treasures and could be the next 'BIG' thing in Space Exploration...I just wish I had a ship and suit capable and quick enough to get me there now to investigate and explore.

Yes, that's Terry. The photo was taken at the 60th (I think) Anniversary event for Sky at Night, at New Broadcasting House. I opened his beer for him, because he couldn't work out how to do it. Still knew how to drink it though. A very nice chap, and dealt well with his 'embuggeration'.

"Charon and Pluto are locked in a tidal embrace that matches their rotation rates to their orbital period about each other, so that the same side of Charon always faces Pluto and vice versa"
Interesting fact this professor...Both sides facing each other, forever locked.
The canyon on Charon is truly amazing.

It amuses me greatly that the white part of Pluto does actually look like Disney's dog 'Pluto
(as seen from the side) you really couldn't write it....back at mission control I bet some thought it a joke.

Always interesting to read about these things from someone with real knowledge about the subject.

I found this close up view of Pluto to be interesting...very different to our own Moon.
