Hi Mike, I have just been looking through your list again to check if you'd added LM1 beach merch :) On your list of 'things to wear' ... how would one wear a Moon map? Would it be worn like a toga should it be made from cloth, or will it be designed as a "Souper Luna Dress" (like the paper dress based on Andy Warhol's Campbell's soup cans) en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paper_clothing

Lol Abi the way your mind works always cracks me up :)

Regarding merchandising. We need to remember that this is a self funding mission and a long term project. The list looks a lot, but consider it has to keep feeding funding for a minimum ten years. I can see every single one of Mikes list making it to the space store at some point. It might only be a few items this year, a couple the next etc. perhaps with a special limited edition something or other when we reach any significant milestones.

I know it is a bit cynical targeting the collectors in my post earlier, but that is the way to generate funds, and without funding we won't get there. I intend to buy every single bit of kit I can afford, as my contribution to the project. I am not a scientist, I can't help with the techy part, but I can do my bit in a small way, helping out on here, adding to funds when I can etc. we can all be a part of it. Lunar Mission 1 is not just for the brainiacs.

Hi Abi, perhaps the moon map could be a theme that applies to many wearable things :) Maps lend themselves well to conventional clothing and accessories (belts, ties, socks, T shirts, bags etc.), but there are also more unconventional avenues which you've alluded to. I'm not sure how many would choose to wear a linen jacket or dress with a map of the moon, but with the right designer, it might work for a higher end market. I can see "Quirky L" taking off as a brand :)

Perhaps the collaborative area might be the place where anyone (including you Abi!) could suggest designs, and those designs could then be the subject of voting on the forum. You might even see your moon map dress in the space store... I hope the project considers innovation as an area equal in importance to maintaining great quality.

Mike's list pretty much sums it all up. Thank you Paul for remembering my lander blueprint idea, i thought it would be reminiscent of the Apollo era and I know my son would like a blueprint on his wall of a spacecraft taking his DNA to the Moon. I will be happy with a Mug and a LM1 logo branded Astronomical/Moon Log Journal.

Hopefully LM1 can make these all as cheap as possible and then charge as much as they can get away with (we would pay it) so then it is an extra income for the mission.
