Well I guess you can't blame the Greeks for doing this (like you say they may as well go down having fun & spending rather than letting the government get their money), it's such a shame, yet the simple fact is Greece almost certainly shouldn't have been allowed in, many thought this and it's proven to be correct (sadly) although not a huge fan of Thatcher I think she saw this coming!

Yup Mr Rednapp did ok with Bournemouth in his early days (didn't he dispatch our neighbours United in a F.A.Cup final round with them?)
I think Bournemouth are going to become many fans favourite second team this season, mine too, just so long as they don't take points off City :-)
Nice to see ya back.

Greedy politicians and bankers Paul... Always the cause of most of the world's problems, along with organised religion!

anyways, today is International Left Handers Day... I extend the (left) hand of friendship and solidarity to all my left handed brethren around the world. :)

Blimey! they'll have a day for everything eventually.
HAPPY left handed day Stavy :-)
Oh and I think your right about the politicans, bankers and especially religion, perhaps one day we'll have no use for them and we can hopefully evolve into better human beings.

Speaking of politics, I cannot believe how Labour has got themselves into this mess!
Mr Corben may well be a lovely fella and it seems that way but wow! welcome back Michael Foot and the 80's...I've read women love him? but he's no more a prime minster in waiting than Mr Foot or Ed Milliband was!
What a shame we haven't got another party we can vote for in the UK rather than Labour (Unions!!! and old policies) and the Conservatives (mainly for the rich let's be honest)...YUP your right Stavy! they're a waste of time but we need someone to run the country!

'Fraid I'm not a Man City fan! I'm not a football fan. I blame that on growing up in Coventry...tee hee!

LOVELY to have you back, Stavy! Thought it was strangely quiet around here... ;)

Hmmm....the Labour party ARE in the news a lot, aren't they? What I want to know is, why can't we vote for the OTHER Milliband brother? Y'know, Steve Milliband (okay, okay, you may need to be old enough to appreciate 1970's rock for that one) ;)

Ahh, well I can see my job of bringing the Daily Drivel thread some extra useless drivel is done!! Good evenin' all...(although don't miss my earlier post on "merchandise" )...

Angela, my advice, don't vote for either! But, I can agree with you about football. There are better sports such as croquet and the likes, wouldn't you agree? :)

'Some people believe football is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that.'

(thank you to the late great Bill Shankly' for clearing that up)
