Stavy created the topic: Lunar Mission 1 Event Royal Institution 30th May
The first Lunar Mission One event is taking place at the Royal Institute in London on 30th May.

At our event on 30th May, you can directly engage with the project, contribute ideas to its development and volunteer to participate in making it a success.

Throughout the event there will be talks from leading scientists and ‘lunar missions labs’ sessions led by members of the project team, where all backers will be invited to contribute to discussions on the project’s many themes. Experts from all the Lunar Mission One teams will be in attendance, alongside other friends of the project, helping to lead the event and to involve you in moving forward with our mission.

Hosted at one of London’s most iconic scientific institutions and open to all Lunar Mission One backers, this event is set to be an extraordinary day. If you have friends or family members who are interested in the project they are very welcome to come along as well – though the format of the day’s discussions will not be suitable for children so we recommend that it is only for those aged 16 and above.

We look forward to meeting you in person and to collaborating to make Lunar Mission One a reality.

Tickets are available via the link below. I've got my ticket, and am looking forward to meeting some of you on the day. Have you got yours?

Hey Stavs

Yep I have my ticket, looking forward to meeting everyone and getting involved, 30th can't come soon enough. :cheer:

The format for the meeting is only 4 hours so guess it is going to wizz past pretty fast, hopefully we will get a chance to meet many ?all? of the forum moderators and maybe Mike Da Sousa as well as members of the team?

Better get my thinking cap on for some idea to discuss at the meeting.

I will do SCIENCE to it.

Hmm I'd like to go but I don't think I can this time. Maybe. Or maybe next time I don't know yet

Hey SteveC (I know another SteveC somewhere.. it's not you is it?)

nice to hear from you. :)

Mike and I, (and one or two others) have already made some tentative plans to meet up with a few kickstarter forum denizens before the event. Mike suggested meeting at the RI Café. I was thinking we could maybe meet up half an hour before things are due to start, so we can say hello, and then all go on towards our particular interests as we like. The suggestion is to wear a little paper crescent moon in our lapels.. (I did suggest yellow carnations in time honoured tradition but was shot down in flames heheh!)

I'll start another thread in general chat where everyone who wants to meet up can put their names on.

Maybe yes, Google maps suggested a 3 hour public transport route I could take to get me there on time for this one. But suggested NOTHING at all to get back home again after the event. Don't want to be stuck in London for the night.
