So long as we take care of this little corner of the universe so that it's always here to come home to, then the idea of waking up to an 'earthrise' works for me too Flinty/Paul.

Yes, I think folks from the old Kickstarter Forum know of my fondness for that NASA photo 'Earthrise' and like you
both (Flinty & Stavy) it is something I would dearly love to see for real one day.
Flinty, I think it's mainly due to money! goverments find it near impossible to fund such missions thesedays and that's
where companies like this (LM1, SpaceX, Virgin) may one day help us achieve your (and mine and many others) dreams.
Dream Big & Hope.

Hi All, My name is Stephen. I'm married with 3 kids, (3, 12 & 17) and I've registered us all as LM1 founder backers which they know I am but they don't know they have been. With the certs ready and as soon as the t-shirt arrives (thanks to Kerry for her Christmas raffle) and the patch, I'll let them all know with a little presentation. I hail from Ireland and work as a Data Management Manager for a wholesale company. I'm a fan of "most" watchable sci-fi. Love all things space related and with so much out there it's hard to keep up with everything! I'm an amateur woodcarver and do hope to do some space related carvings at some point. Recent collector of meteorites. So just getting in there but if ever a mission to the Moon and back happens, I bagsie one of the first samples. My 3 1/2 yr old finds fun in the following when ever I say Lunar to him. He follows up by saying Lunar (quick pause) Mission and pauses for a second and shouts, TWO, followed up with a cheeky smile and laugh. He knows it should be ONE but I wonder does he know something we all don't! Looking forward to the years ahead here and great to see so many familiar names coming across from Kickstarter.

Hello Everyone,
I currently live in Manchester and I'm a huge space nut. My interest has increased so much over the last few years that I'm taking the plunge and going full time. I'm starting a Masters in Space Engineering at Surrey university in September and I'm currently reading all the text books to get ahead of the game.
When I'm not working or reading up on the latest space news I'm either out drinking or exploring somewhere. I'm an avid rock climber, kayaker and soon to be SCUBA diver (wanting to be an astronaut might have had something to do with that choice!)
Looking forward to getting you know you lot on here

Great to see so many of you saying hello. Still only a handful compared to the membership though... Come on don't be shy, we don't bite... much...
