I really like DS9, the first couple of seasons were a bit slow but once it found its feet it got better and better. I would say DS9 is my favourite.

You are just too young to appreciate the finer points of the Original Series. Shatner's wig and corsets, Spock's ears.. the dodgy sets... It was ground breaking in its day, and all the series after it just re-hashed the stories with fancier digital effects...

Without the original I don't think I would have got in to Startrek. When I was a nipper the reruns of the original used to fascinate me. I don't know the sets were dodgy etc. I still remember the cute Tribbles!!
(I might look amazingly young and handsome but am neither lol)

TOS started about 30 years before I was born. But I still think it's possibly the best one. 50/50 between that and TNG.

Picard was a great character i agree.
Can we get Martin kicked outta here for a day or two after dissing 'Enterprise'
I actually kinda liked it, the PILOT episode was AWESOME but i would agree that season 1 was a little disappointing (they nearly always ended up in a cave somewhere) the later seasons got much better i feel Martin, you might like to give them another go some day, if not, well T'Pol (Jolene Blalock) and Hoshi (Linda Park) were very kind on the eyes although having seen Scott Backula on 'Quantum Leap' I was already a fan of his.
I'm open to a new Trek Tv Series although i am enjoying JJ's movie outings the next for which will be co-written by Simon Pegg so that should be FUN.
Abi, i know of your fondness for Mr Nimoy & Spock & i'm still sad at this news but he's left us a truly awesome 'cult' character.
Stavy, Did Shatner have a hair piece in the Original series???
I know he had one later but i didn't think he had one whilst making this original 60's series?
As you can see it's not bad, clearly thinning (sadly like mine thesedays, ah well) but it looked not too bad i thought
Wow! Lee (Fawkes) your a lot younger than i'd imagined, TOS was 30 years before your time!!!
And all of a sudden this 40 something is feeling somewhat a little old
When i first saw this original series i must have been around 5 years old and it was on a black and white tv (early 70's) when we finally upgraded to a colour Tv set i couldn't believe how different it was with the primary colours (red, blue, yellow and green uniforms everywhere) it was a very colourful show in many regards
At that time i remember having made an Airfix? model of the Enterprise & one with Spock battling a huge snake creature (Abi would have loved that one) and both sat side by side on the top of our Tv

Hmmmm, maybe I should give Enterprise a fair go, I only ever saw a few episodes. I didn't watch more as first impressions were not good.
